Don't care about this show, but it just became 3 times more interesting now. LOL.

It's always three times more awesome when casting is intentionally done like this. Ikeda was also cast into the role of Shuuichi Akai in Detective Conan, but this seems to be the most significant connection I've seen for casting.

He did long before as well as Sunrise's Gundam Poster Boy for Cyber Formula SAGA/SIN as Kyoshiro Nagumo before Conan, One Piece's Shanks and other anime roles he has been in. He pulled the same prank in Rurouni Kenshin: The New Kyoto Arc.

It's a bit weird that Kite will sound older than his mentor Ging, who's voiced by Rikiya Koyama, but it's always nice to hear a legendary seiyuu like Ikeda.

Well, Char did say Lalah could have been a mother to him.
In fact, that was the last thing he said.

Great, he's the same seiyuu of Shanks (One Piece)! And before reading this, I was thinking that Kite is for Gon a bit of what Shanks is for Luffy!
