It's been a while since Funi licensed a shojo.
I really want to buy this since I love the anime. <3

Would Princess Jellyfish count? Because that was only a year ago.

I believe this is the first Funi home release announcement of 2013 (the others, and there haven't been many of those, were stream-only so far, but some will likely get home releases at some point). |
Wow that's awesome! Had no idea it was so popular. It always reminded be of an Inuyasha/Fruits Basket (with a little Our Home's Fox Deity). I picked up the 2 manga bundles this week off Rightstuf, and they seem to be a hot item too, showing up on the "now trending" list quite often.

YAY! I knew that this announcement was coming when they said that Kamisama Kiss was their most popular streaming title ever.

there is no way its going to take 7 years to release this |
Hey magical index, I show I can say with little hesitation had more popularity than Kamisama Kiss finally came out two years later. High School DxD is another show thats immensely popular, its been licensed close to year and they have no release date. Oh and then they have shows like Blessing of Campenella that might not even get a physical release at his point.
7 years is an exaggeration, but honestly 2015 is the earliest I see this being released.
Although personally Id like them to release the ost for this show, opening is awesome.

Princess Jellyfish is actually one of the few josei anime available here in Region 1 rather than shojo.
Kamisama sounds like it might be something I might like. I'll look into it a little further before making a decision though, especially since the ranking for it here at ANN isn't particularly spectacular.

Funimation said that during their most streamed show during their last visit on ANNCast. I can't remember if it was most watched streaming title for the season for them, or all time.

I am pretty certain that at ANNCast they said Psycho Pass was the most most watched title(of that season),they also mentioned Kamisama Kiss was doing better then they expected.I highly doubt that situation has changed.

Very happy to hear that Kamisama Kiss is being released. It is one of the most typical Shoujos you are likely to meet, and yet it is very sweet and charming. Nanami was also very sympathetic and easy to cheer for. The show was the only Shoujo from last season that got better as it went on; both Say, "I Love You" and My Little Monster had poor second halves. So yeah, unless you're violently allergic to anything Shoujo, it's well worth checking out.

(hopes Psycho Pass gets Home video rights, too) |
Same here, can't wait to own Psycho-Pass on BD and experience Funi's dub for it, such a great show.
