I have very little knowledge of what this is about, but if Miyazaki's attached to it, I MUST see it. Cool The man can't make bad a movie (though I didn't care for Arrietty).

Three new Ghibli films in the works? Someone pinch me! Very Happy

Miyazaki didn't direct Arrietty he only helped make the screenplay.

Yep! If I remember correctly wasn't Arrietty a first-time film for the director? I was aware that Miyazaki wrote the screenplay; however, he was also responsible for Whispers of the Heart, which was phenomenal, so I still kind of count Arrietty as the rare disappointment from Miyazaki for me (haven't seen Ponyo, though I've heard there's quite a divide on that one). I've just been so hungry for another "great" Miyazaki film (the last one that comes to mind is from 2004!), so if this is anything like vintage Miyazaki, I'm very excited!

Well, I think it's pretty appropriate time of release based on the setting. If the 'Kaguya' film comes out in the fall that may work too. I kind of look it as the change of the seasons. Summer would have worked too but again can't have two hits out at the same time. But I wonder who will get the award between those 2 films.

I haven't been a fan of anything since Spirited Away. But that is just me. I hope that this can change me back Smile

Wait, whatever happened to that retirement Miyazaki keeps talking about? Or has he just stopped at this point?

Also I kind of liked Arrietty more than a lot of other Ghibli movies tbh
