Well, this is good news. We can finally move ahead to the next arc after being stuck on this one for nearly two decades (for animation at least).

Good. I don't mind them doing these reboots so long as it is the precursor to them actually doing some new material.

Can they go back to normal animation, please?

I think it was in 2009 or 2010 when there were mysterious screens claiming to be proof of a new Berserk animated project. Several of those screens ended up being proven to be legit when the promos for Vol. 35 of the manga were released. One of the screens showed a post-Eclipse Caska. So I think they're already knee-deep in producing the Black Swordsman or Conviction arc.

More Berserk is a must and a very welcomed news. I think they'll go with OVAs later on but movies are also good.

OVAs or a full-fledged TV anime, please. It'd be far too clumsy to animate the rest of the story via movies...and likely far too costly.

But yeah, seconding the notion of less CG. Please. I'll gladly take some somewhat sloppy animation over the awkward half-2D, half-CG stuff they've got going on too much of the time.

Here's hoping they bring back Susumu Hirasawa to do the music again, Berserk doesn't feel right without him.

I hope it will be OVA (Like Hellsing Ultimate) of course with Susumu Hirasawa Very Happy . A TV Series can't really deliver the darkness, gore and such of the manga.

Like a few have mentioned, I'd much rather an OVA series than more movies.
Should be quicker to release, and also easier to portray the following arcs than movies.
Plus the rest of the world can get them at a quicker pace rather than waiting an age for them.
However, since they have started this movie format, I think they'll most likely continue it...

well my only gripes about the movies is that they are a bit too hasty with the story and the CG looks cheap, i mean the old tv anime looked better quality even with its still shots. That being said they are decent films as its hard to fail with berserk.

Since my introduction to Berserk has been through these movies I'm certainly welcome to seeing more material adapted. You can count me in on the camp who would prefer OVA's over more movies though. It would be a lot easier and faster in the long run.

Well either movies or OAV's as you'd never get the lost children arc on TV

As everyone else is saying, OVAs are obviously the way to go here. Hellsing Ultimate was an amazing adaption. Berserk can be done just as well in OVA format.
