Actually, there was something missing. The "Furi Kuri!" eyecatch wasn't shown for some odd reason. But Kyle is right about the rest of the episode, completely unedited and it is strange that they showed the Japanese credits...

The eyecatches were almost certainly cut for time as they are the most painless cut.

I haven't seen the eyecatches. but unless they where amazingly awesome(?I don't know?) than it was worth it to get the ending. thats a great ending.

Nothing OVERLY cool, but they are pretty neat. There really was no reason, it's about 1 or 2 seconds.

was anyone else annoyed that they didn't translate any of the Japanese writing(kanji, hiragana? I dunno what it was) on the screen? I'm sure people who don't know what they were supposed to mean would have liked to know...

Yeah. It's annoying, but I'm running an FLCL Q&A topic on GameFAQs, and I have all that stuff posted, so at least a handful of people know<G>

during the card scene or whatever there commentary is called they said there would only be on edit and that was in ep 6.

The final episode is a full half hour, so they most likely will do a time edit. However, there are also some rumors they'll let it run the full time and put not only a 15 minute show like ATHF after it to fill up the remaining time, but the pillows' Ride on shooting star music video. It'd knock Blue Gender back, but it's a good idea.

Yes, there were cuts tonight. No edits, but cuts.
2 or 3 seconds of completely black screen was cut after the scene with Haruko and Naota with the heads. Most likely for time. Also, at the very end of the episode, my DVD became unsynched with the TV. They must've cut something else, but I wasn't paying attention as I was preparing for my Q&A post and missed it. Eyecatch missing yet again, but thats a given. |
