Some users have a small green star with a descriptor between their name and avatar. What's this and how is it derived?

The green star designates a subscriber; subscribers have the right to select a phrase that goes underneath their name.

Thank you.That little gem isn't mentioned in the subscription page. If I can think of something worthwhile, and find that I like this forum, then I'll consider subscribing.

There are a set number of preselectable phrases you get to choose from to have under your name, it's not a free for all where you can have anything you like. Occasionally, new titles are added through a vote in the subscriber only community forum, but it doesn't happen very often.

as a subscriber you may also choose to not have these things appear near your avatar. |

You can't see them beforehand, as far as I'm aware. I'm sure someone would be willing to tell you what they are though. (I can't right now) That, or just keep your eyes open around the forum, although I don't think all of them are in use.

Just to put this out there, if any non subscriber was wondering, I was the one who coined the It's over 9000! rank. But ranks aren't added merely because you create here, there is a special process for them to be added. |
