Just To Clarify, maybe i was just misreading or misinterpretating something someone told me, but there is no second season of Evangelion even being rumored is there? I figured i'd have a better chance of having a post and people resonding than believing the person who told me this.

There is no second season of Evangelion planned so far, but who knows. If the Eva movie actually gets made Gainax might do a second season.

i would say it's more likely that the new "Girlfriend of Steel" manga would be turned into an anime than a 2nd season of Evangelion proper (which would uproot the ending of both the TV series and the movie...)
In fact, with Puchi Puri Yushii, I almost could believe them making a series about Girlfriend of Steel. :)

If, there were to ever be such a thing, it would be in the alternative universe shown in ep. 26, which is quite fun.
It's more fun if Anno is depressed. Unfortunately, he got help and is becoming well adjusted due to his new marriage.

i highly doubt it but i think i heard they were re digitalizing the whole series. Anything new to watch will probably have to be in a from of a prequel because in was the end of the world in that Universe.

It's not re-digitizing, it's a directors cut. You can find more on it if you look at the encyclopedia entry on Eva, all anime have their news linked thru it. And next time, let it die sirs. This topic is old enough that most don't have interest in it anymore.

Yeah, if there would ever be a sequel to EVA, I say it would be rather cool to see that alternate universe shown in episode 26 was it? Or it would be similar to those Evangelion dating games where you can choose who Shinji falls for (Rei, Asuka, Kaoru?) I think that is how it's played, anybody ever play it?

An influential series from 96. It goes beyond what used to be the typical mecha and uses the mecha as a device to tell character drama. There are those that hate, those that love it. It depends on how you interpretate the series. It is worth your time to watch it, and if you do, make sure you try more than the first episode. The second is where it really starts to come into its own. It is also know as Eva or Neon Genesis Evangelion.
