Zatch Bell edit list?

Hey,
Does anyone have a list of the edits made
to the Zatch Bell dub? Are there comparison
pictures between the dub and the original
anywhere on the internet?

I don't think anyone cares enough to do so. It's being beaten around like a cheap hooker, let's leave it at that.

There really aren't all that many grand scale edits made to it. There are a couple quirks (like randomly adding in exclamation marks in action scenes, or covering up face smacks with color splashes - random edits like these are frequent in English adaptations of Toei cartoons, but fortunately Zatch Bell only has a couple every now and then), but aside from that, nothing out of the ordinary.

There's no major script changes from what I can tell, except for removing the skater's panty fetish in the first episode.

The music is a little weird. They replace most of the soundtrack, but sometimes they let a couple of the Japanese tracks in, sometimes it's about half and half, and in like two or three episodes, they just used all of the original soundtrack.

This is more opinionated, but Folgore's voice is the only one I think of being miscasted (I haven't been watching for the past couple of weeks though). The voice performances are decent enough.

Yeah, I have not actually noticed
anything that was edited, but a few
episodes ago when Zatch was fighting Bari,
the blood on one of Bari's arms kept
dissapearing and re-apearing. In one shot,
the blood was visible for over 10 seconds!
The editors are apparenty not that good
at covering up that blood...

The guns & rifles are now green, as well as the bullets. None of the cigaretts or cigars are lit. Rolling Eyes

At least you guys didn't get crappy looking lollipops, or people literally blowing smoke.

Didn't they also add underwear to Zatch (or whatever his name is)

Yes, they usually paint in a pair of boxers. This is especially amusing in a scene where they painted on some underwear and you see Zatch putting on... another pair of underwear.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I think Folgore was cast perfectly. Nothing's funnier than a fake Italian accent! It's the li'l cherry on top of the Crazy Folgore Sundae.

I really didn't like the Gash Bell dub at first. It took some getting used to Gash's dub voice. At least they keep cigarettes and cigars. I used to say that it was as bad as any 4Kids anime, but wow was I wrong.

In the Zatch Bell Movie #1, Zatch does not wear underpants. Also, when Brago fights Furigaro, his arm gets ripped off.
