I just started watching Prince of Tennis, and in episode 2 Ryoma is called Ryoma-kun and Ryoma-sama. Another name was Tomoka-chan. What's the difference between -kun -sama and -chan.

Japanese honorifics. Since I'm probably not the best person to explain them, I'll just direct you to Wikipedia's article on it.

Edit: Or you can just look in ANN's lexicon for a shorter explaination like Swordfish_II linked to.
