Went to my first convention yesterday, hah! I've never seen so much merchandise before.

I didn't buy too much, most of the anime was pretty expensive. Like, not enough boxsets and I can't pay 20$ for 3-4 episodes. I did buy the full FMP manga(well, the first series, I guess there's more manga for the others?) and the first book of another manga, my first manga ever =P. Got a Champloo shirt and Bleach wall scroll.

Couldn't find any FLCL stuff, that's something I would've liked to buy though. The convention was Megacon in Orlando. Anyone else go? Went on from friday-sunday.

Anyway, now I'm...kind of hooked. Where can I see about other conventions? Like, just a list where I can look where they take place at. Can't wait to go to another. Not like I "needed" my money anyway.

fansview.com is a really great site that lists cons and has pictures and other things at some.

Both the anime and the manga are based on a series of novels. The anime is not based on the manga.

Yeah I know, but I've heard that the novels haven't been translated so...no luck there.

I was implying that there wasn't necessarily a manga to correlate with Fumoffu or The Second Raid. Which, really, also isn't entirely true. Some of the events that occurred in Fumoffu were also adapted into the first manga. And it seems that there's a new manga called Full Metal Panic! Sigma that will cover the material that TSR covered. Overload, however, is not based on the novels at all.
