I was wondering, because i have some anime i converted into AVI (ipod flops) and i wanna use them in mediacenter to make me some AMV's
 however, it only wants to accept MPG/MPEG files....how can i convert AVI to MPG?

Actually, that thred was geared twords getting anime to run properly on my Ipod and also about burning DVD onto my Ipod...this was intended to find out how i can convert AVI into a format that windows movie maker (not mediacenter sorry) can read, so i might be able to make a few AMV's
however if it were more appropriate in the other thread, then i apologize, and hopefully nagsia will lock this. If so i'll move it to there. ataru thanks for link, i'll give it a try
however, i found a way to convert the FMA movie to MPG...however...the movie maker says there's something wrong with the size, i believe it is to big...i wonder if there is a way to break up the movie into portions? |

I recommend using TMPGEnc, which not only converts AVI to MPEG, but can also convert OGM to MPEG. If that's the program you're using, I can help you with splitting the file in half, but if you're using a different program, I wouldn't know. You'll also need Goldwave to extract the audio into a .wav and then convert it (I think that's the term I'm looking for here) with the video, so your converted files will have sound (and I can help you with that too, if you need it).

as you may know, i got the AVI to MPG, however as it turns i still have some song left afterwards  so, i plan to scan the EVA movies in as well, howeer i have to ask if .VOB will be the same to convert as the .AVi files are? or harder?

This person post about 25 post per day (most of the comment/thread were pretty irrevelant). What do you expect? However, I think this forum does have a general anime question that doesn't require a whole topic discussion. |
