I have finished full metal alchemist which took me quite a while and im wondering what the newest anime that is out that is really popular. thanks

Bleach is super popular right now, but it's not even close to being done. It's really entertaining though. It' similar to FMA, in that it has a plethora of well developed characters. In my opinion it's not quite as good as FMA, but I still really enjoy it.

It would help if you either made your anime list public or told us what you have seen so we don't have to keep on guessing until we get one that you haven't seen.

wel im half way through trigun, wolf's rain and cowboy bebop and I've completed full metal alchemist along with the movie. Thats about it i think

Sorry to be a bit off-topic, but why ask for the newest, most popular anime? Just because it's popular doesn't mean you'll like it, and just because something isn't popular doesn't mean you won't like it. Imo, it's much more rewarding to seek out shows that meet your own preferences, because you may find some that you really like but nobody else knows about.

I think the only titles at this link that are newer than FMA are Bleach and Final Fantasy AC. They happen to be the only two titles that I've not seen yet. Amazon.co.jp has Zeta II, FMA film, Fate/Stay Night, Aria, Gundam Seed Destiny, My Hime, Eureka Seven, Hachimitsu to Clover, XXXholic, Blood +, and Full Metal Panic 2nd Raid on the top of the list. |

Blood+ has been great so far. If you like the idea of a high school girl hackin up monsters with a katana, this might be worth checking out.
