I'm just having trouble distinguishing many animes and I would like to know the harem animes. I have watched Shuffle! and became interested in them.

Check wikipedia if you have a hard time understanding the word harem. They have a list there too. |

I guess my wording is a little bad. I know what a harem is, I'm just having some trouble finding some. I wiki'd the term before, gives me a short but kinda cliched list. |

lol. I think it's more of a harem for girls. Anyway, there's lots of harem these days. Try: Maburaho Rozen Maiden + Rozen Maiden ~Traumend~ spoiler[1 guy, lots of...dolls. lol] Futakoi + Futakoi Alternative Sister Princess + Sister Princess ~Re Pure~ Ai Yori Aoshi + Aoi Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ Ichigo 100% Koi Koi 7 Mahou Sensei Negima Yumeria Amenaide Yo! He is My Master Yeah...and there's more...a lot more. Try going to anidb.net and browsing under genres like "ecchi". Lots of ecchi anime happen to be harem as well. ~ Noodlehead |

A harem anime is a harem anime! I would, maybe, count Princess Nine as a possible harem anime. One drunk, middle-age baseball coach and 9 high school girls. Probably a great dream for some people.
Fushigi Yugi should also be counted as a harem anime. One girl with 5 hot looking guys (and 1 gi-normas one and a kid) and another girl with twin boys, a woman, a cross-dresser, a floating in the air body snatcher, a wolf-man and a self-absorbed sociopath. (Just in case someone doesn't know the difference between psychopath and sociopath, here's something a heard in a movie: A psychopath is UNABLE to tell the difference between right and wrong while a sociopath is ABLE to tell the difference but doesn't give a $%@*.) 
Pretear should also fall into this catagory even though the harem is limited to 3 hot guys and 3 young boys. |

Oh man, I could give you tons that fall into the harem cateogory.
Aside from the ones that were already mentioned, there's: NORMAL HAREM Burst Angel - 1 guy, and 4 girls who can't cook for themselves Please Twins! - 1 guy, 2 girls...there's a chance that one of them is a relative, but the other is a stranger. Neon Genesis Evangelion - 1 guy, 2 girls...but Pen^2 doesn't count as anything. Hand Maid May - 1 guy, 4 cyber dolls + 1 hot next door neighbor, the squid Ikaria doesn't count as anything either. Elfen Lied - 1 guy, 4(5) girls. Key: x(y) | x=number of girls at one time; y=number of girls in swarm (this includes girls that are already present...and ones that aren't at the moment. HA! I AM VAGUE!) Steel Angel Kurumi - 1 boy, 3 steel angels + 1 female doctor Saber Marionette J - This was already mentioned, but it needs fixing...1 guy, 3 marionettes + 1 gay guy. And if you're watching J Again then it's 1 guy, 7 marionettes/saber dolls + 1 gay guy and his little brother. J to X pretty much returns to the orignal formula. TRAVELING HAREM Trigun - 1 guy, 2 girls spoiler[Unless Wolfwood's around, but that's only about 25% of the time because the other 75% he's either off doing his own thing or dead.] Those Who Hunt Elves - 1 guy, 3 girls, one of which is an elf that has transformed herself into a deranged looking dog. GUNxSWORD - 1 guy, 2 girls...*gasp* Naughty, naughty...trying to pull stuff from Trigun. But it's still all good. Photon - 1 guy, 3 girls, spoiler[one of which is a strange creature that has fun being kicked around, but is still a girl none the less, but you don't find out until later.] Grenadier - 1 guy, 2 girls...You're naughty too, even though the lead is a female in this one (making it kind of weird) you're trying to pull from Trigun too, aren't ya?! I wish I could say this one was all good...but it's only okay. Sorry, Grenadier. LOLOLOLOLOLO!OL!OL!!!!11 I MADE COMEDY GOLD!!!!111 Yeah, in all seriousness now, only a few of those were truly harem. Forget about all the traveling Harem ones I mentioned, those are just ridiculous forced connections to the genre...and I guess all the ones mentioned before my little Traveling Harem segment are okay except for Evangelion...I kind of forced that one too. Saber Marionette J, Please Twins!, and Elfen Lied (borderline harem...if it weren't for one guy in a 1:N household, then this defintely would be far from harem...) are probably the best mentioned from that list, by the way. Hand Maid May and Steel Angel Kurumi are okay too. Burst Angel...eh, that seems more focused on guns and action. |

That list and any related articles is subjective at best. I mean, does Neon Genesis Evangelion really count as a "Harem" series? |
