Whacky Races? |
Yes Whacky Races, I assume you have seen how some of the races go in that series, and how the neko duo in this put in way too much effort in. |
yeah, just barely. i think it has been around 15 years since i last saw saw an episode. and yeah, it did seem like the neko duo were channeling Dastardly and muttley

reminiscing aside this still was a good episode. don't mind the parallels to previous work a mucked up race when done well is still funny.

By the way, I wonder what the deal with those two cat(?) like figures is. Are they Shinki? I don't think either has ever referred to a master yet and they seem don't have the same body frame as the other Shinki.
Plus, I just noticed in the pic that DP put in the OP a Shinki with huge tits who looks like she wandered out of Queen's Blade. Come on, man, lets get her intro'd, stat!

Really, the mermaid? I don't recall her jugs looking that big in the show.

Yes, you are correct - that is Mer-tits. The reason I didn't make the connection is that most of the time you see her behind a desk and front on, so her chesticles are not as obvious as in the pic. Good eye, though, fellow horndog.

seems that even hair is customizable for Shinki, since Ann had short hair while in the luggage

Episode 7
Where could 15cm tall robots go to keep cool, felt like a forehead slap when it is clearly just the fridge, although it is also an extreme. Kind of spooky with the freaky ninja/fox girl shinki, and with the added non-cute clumsyness and fox fires. Not usually too big a fan of those ghost all along stories, but I felt somewhat satisfactory when they revealed after the emotional scene that her master was actually a ghost.
Wonder what the preview was implying about the next episode, whether she is covering her joints and he is dating his pet robot, or some event makes her momentarily human.

Episode 8
Ann got big, well it is not quite clear if the entire thing was some sort of virus induced dream, but was definetly entertaining, at least to me. Kind of like Chobits meets.... I don't know.
My favourite part would probably be with Kurara, her trying to apply knowldge to explain how Ann might be big, before firmly staying on the idea she is a crazy human. Spouting such gems as it being normal for a girl going through puberty for the body to change, sympathising with tests being hard, and then telling her to see a shrink. Neighbour shinkis weren't bad either, their stupid decisions are kind of expected. But I also enjoyed the imagine spot the master repeating the other lines, like to see a shrink, and the "something sounds fuzzy".
Apart from that we saw more humans than we had thus far.

The only part I didn't get was the very end - I'm not sure why events looped back to the opening scene.

assuming that it was all just a virus induced dream perhaps Ann thought it would be fun to play that game for real after dreaming about it
