Didn't he say in the first series that he knew how Tamaki could awaken as the Tekkaman Princess? Maybe he's hanging around to finish that thought, but no one ever asks him about it, so he keeps it to himself.

I'll never forget that scene as long as I live. The whole series Tamaki is harshed out by not becoming this Princess Thingy, this guy tells her he knows how she can do it...
...and she completely blows him off. No questions, no comments, nothing. And he never brings it up again. "Hmmm, the fate of the world is at stake, but I did mention that I know how to prevent the Earth's destruction once and got nowhere, so I guess it would be pointless to bring it up again, amirite?"

Episode 7
At least Tamaki didn't give up on Takuma.
That's actually really nice of her, but also expected.
After trying for the Onimimaru she found out the terrible truth.
Tamaki's guardians didn't like the idea of Tamaki as sacrifice one bit.
Looks like Tamaki and Takuma are bound by destiny.

"I guess he learned how to do that at some point" since, you know, we happen to need that now.
So is that what cookie monster has been keeping to himself all this time? Oh, the revelations are falling like red leaves now. After only how many episodes of dithering around?

Episode 8
Takuma desperately trying to save Tamaki.
Those two really are meant for each other.
Seems like everyone was against Takuma.
At least things are getting very interesting now.
It's good Takuma took the Onikirimaru.
Good, but also bad if he keeps using it's power.
Kutani Ryo's sudden appearance was a surprise.

There doesn't seem to be a barrier yet that the old lady had set up that hasn't been knocked down. And the sacred sword that can destroy the world goes running off through the forest (accessible to the enemy now in case the friends weren't bad enough) and granny is quite willing to go with the flow.
Even the leg humping sniffy wolf guy can't stand it anymore.
And the carbohydrate addicted Bureau of Medicine official tries his hand at throwing a few talismans around -- and turns out to be no more effectual than the rest of them.
And the remaining three "guardians" are ordered out on another forest romp because like, you know, it has worked out so well the last 48 times they did it.
Will this end soon, please?

@ HaruhiToy - everything you say is totally fair comment, but for some reason, I'm actually enjoying the show more now. Maybe it's managed to hypnotize me into thinking that stuff is actually happening for a change?

Episode 9
Takara & Ryo seem to have the same employer.
The truth is slowly coming out.
At least those two are there to help.
Tamaki & Takuma alone in school... that didn't last long.
It's nice that her Guardians figured out Tamaki's story was true.

Man, this title has really improved for me in the last few eppies. Like I said before, I actually feel like stuff is happening instead of the usual wheel-spinning. Loved the reveal that Glasses Girl is actually a 23-year-old Bureau operative! Didn't see that coming. We also finally found out what the deal with Wolf Boy is, so that's cool.
Seems like my inexplicable investment of time in this show is starting to yield some results.

It sort of reminds me of my stock in Cisco -- I bought it at a time I thought it was bottoming out but didn't. What equity remains makes it hardly worth getting rid of. For years now. Years and years.
So it seems the goth loli doesn't have the iron grip I thought she had.
Zwei is pretty stupid isn't he?
And the "Guardians" (the scare quotes don't seem sufficient somehow) are going to mount yet one more assault on Logos, for some reason expecting it to turn out different this time. Oh, well. Let's get on with it.

Hey, they've got an excellent reason for believing this particular assault on Logos will succeed where others failed: like us, they know there is only a handful of episodes left.

Episode. (pant pant) 10.
This anime is beautifully drawn, many spots of well done animation, and I have recently noticed that the music score is excellent. Particularly the opening credits. The VAs are nearly faultless.
but...
The stupid. It burns.

What stupid are you referring to? For me, I was disappointed by the repetitive nature of where we ended up at the end of the episode. Damn, how many times has Dude been brought back from the brink of monsterdom, but yet the problem still persists? Oh well, the battle at Logos Crib is still ongoing and that's kind of a new dynamic, I guess.
