I don't really care, it'll probably just cover their Eidos stuff like Tomb Raider and Hitman.

Their own Luminous engine is 10 times better than this shit. This is just for their western Eidos crap obviously.

Not really surprising they have used the unreal engine before, especially with the Chrystal engine needing to be gutted for Tomb Raider.

Too bad it won't run on current or nextgen consumer hardware.

If FF14 is any indication of where their engines are right now, this was unavoidable...

Now they just need to put Square games on Steam.
If they do, we better get some TF2 hats!

The news post pretty much sums it up: Square Enix plans to make more ios games in the future and these use the Unreal Engine so they licensed it. Square Enix will never use Unreal Engine 4 in their main console titles. A company does blow millions of dollars on their own (mind blowingly beautiful) engine just to license another company's engine.
And why the hell is Final Fantasy 14 mentioned here? I don't care if the game was broken, it still looked way better than any other MMORPG on the market, and this thread is about Unreal Engine 4, which is a graphics engine.

Maybe someone felt the need to post in response to your message. It's all _your_ fault! ;p
