Zetsu is just weird. He's not really insane nor a true split personality
as he is two half bodies combined into one. Both however can function on their own. Zetsu may eat people and is "cannibalistic" but then he's also a plant man so I dunno if it counts. You know who is in SERIOUS need of therapy Doppio Vinegar from JoJo's Bizarre adventure Part 5 RING RING RING!! |

Surprised Pai from 3x3 Eyes isn't on here. I expect she get number one or at least pair up with Lucy and Shiro.

I went through the whole list looking for Momoka from Sgt. Frog--
Whose split personality actually IS a split personality (and has physically split on occasion), whereas her direct inspiration, Ran from Urusei Yatsura, merely covers up massive mood swings with deliberate deception. (Christine from Daa!Daa!Daa! falls into a similar sub-category, although a tad more in need of therapy.) Unless Momoka was disqualified as not needing therapy, since her split is comparatively beneficial, and usually comes to the rescue in most episodes. Still, y'know, a Top 10 would've been a nice, round number. |

I'm quite surprised Yuuko of Dusk Maiden of Amnesia isn't on the list; she literally had a spoiler[split personality. Quite the deadly one, at that].

I second Kara no Kyoukai's character with a split personality. However, I believe one that gets much closer to the reality of Dissociative Identity Disorder was none other that spoiler[Lain of Serial Experiments Lain[/b].] Sure, one can call metaphysical chicanery or the nature of an informational Apocalypse might explain that better, but why can't we JUST GIVE HER SOME LOVE? spoiler[Let's all love Lain. I thought of Pai from 3x3 eyes. She was the first oddball I'd seen with split personality. Though I'm only familiar with the anime I wondered how the divine side got altered into her cutesy side. Mind you her divine side didn't really care about crap. I'll have to sit down and watch the anime one day. I wish I had the chance of reading the manga. |

Didn't originally think of this character due to the nature of their, uh, issue, but after seeing that even Zetsu made the list, spoiler[Dilandau] from Escaflowne came to mind.
Also, while I'm not a huge fan of Merle, I still voted for her considering her competition, lol. Guess I'm just not a catgirl, uh, girl. |

Y'all are comprehensive. The only other split personality I can think of is from Hanaukyo, spoiler[Cynthia/Grace]. Not a grade-A nutjob like most of these, but the fact that spoiler[she never physically sleeps (each personality can sleep, but they don't seem to do so at the same time, so she's always up and about)] is wearing out her body at a rate that would put her in an early grave.

I'm a little disappointed I didn't see Akito/Agito/Lind(Manga only) Wanijima from Air Gear on the list. Especially considering that spoiler[the third personality is essentially a copy of their mother.] If that isn't a case in need of therapy I don't know what is.

I concur with the surprise but not so much the spoiler[term "deadly"]. I do not think that that applies at all; the spoiler[shadow is a personality dominated by discarded memories -- it is not deadly to anyone]. |

I'd say Gundere from Nichijou needs a little therapy. I mean when she's mad at Sasahara she shoots guns, rockets and God knows what else at him. Also how's Zetsubou Sensei and his students, how are they not on the list! They're all insane!!!
