Wow, this title made me a do a double take. To be fair, a lot of anime series use mediocre-to-good jpop singers. It's kind of funny how our perception is that they are 'better' just because they are Japanese. American bands probably have a lot of drawing power in Asian countries.

But really, not too surprised on the cover of How You Remind Me. Considering that Avril is engaged to Nickelback's lead singer, a cover of one of their songs was eventually going to happen. Plus, I think she'll do a decent cover of Bad Reputation. |

yeah, but that songs only good when Nickleback sings it. Avril couldn't even do Joan Jett's song justice so I have no hope for the nickleback cover. Oh well, it's not like I actually watch One Piece. The Japanese viewers probably won't know the difference. |

WELL. That came entirely out of nowhere. I actually don't mind Avril too much so its kind of interesting news. And two theme songs? Also interesting. I defiantly can't imagine her singing 'How You Remind Me' though.
I can hear Funimation's pure frustration over licensing already. |

Here's an idea: just have Hatsune Miku do the cover for those songs - then all the fans would be fine with it! |
