I've finally tracked down the last two volumes of Gon at a reasonable price (Someone was selling Gon Swimming for $21.95 Shocked) Is it still being published in Japan? And is it too much to hope for for DC to publish more under their CMX imprint Question

I believe there's only 7 gon book publish in Japan and only 6 of them have been release.

The only thing you can wait for is the Gon CG Movie coming in 2007. Also since DC basically drop their Paradox Press imprint, I don't see anymore Gon coming along.

It's too bad that we'll probobly never get to see any more Gon. Either the licence has expired or DC is just too lazy/stupid to try to reprint and market the books (probobly the latter). Maybe the movie will spark some interest in this hidden gem.

Why not get the japanese version of the books? Last time I checked with Gon, it's all picture and no text.

The story is really humorous with a mixture of light hearted fun combine with some dark moment. Even without any words, the action and emotion of the character will keep the story moving and the artwork is the real highlight of the manga. But if you don't like Gon as a character, you probably would not like this series.

It's a kids title but it's a damn good one, imo.
