They've been doing this survey for a while. I did mine like a few weeks ago. I'm glad it's getting some publicity by being a news article here though. Btw, typo, "Ai Yori Aoshi" not "Ai Yori Aoshin"

I've always heard the biggest reason the US (& by proxy the rest of the world that can read english) don't get many of the best loved Bishojo Games has always been the amount of money for the license for them versus what the niche market is willing to buy...
It's not helped by the fact that quite a few are released for consoles, yet companies like Sony haven't allowed them to be brought over for their systems due to the idea it would be taken negatively... After all silly people still think console games are for 10 year olds... Anyways, I've done my part to support the Bishojo industry... Including buying some fairly crappy titles before, & I probably will again... I'd love if some of the better ones would make it over some day... Btw now that you mentioned Tsukihime I realized I should have probably mentioned the whole Fate series... Instead I choose to point out Soul Link, which I saw over a year ago and even grabbed the demo for... To bad I can't read Japanese, at least I understood some of what the characters said... |

Or even Fate/stay night! Man, that would be awesome to finally be able to read the visual novels of Type-Moon in a language I can understand! |

Yes! They posted it! (I was hoping to get cred as Jewish Wolfwood, but hey, this works too)
I reposted this to world4chan and iichan as well; I'm just about to bop over to MT to make sure it's up there too. I have told anyone who cares that I'd kill a human being to play Comic Party... here's hoping that this'll bear fruit! I told them that I wanted to see Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, Air, Kanon, ComiPa, To Heart, and Galaxy Angel... if even one of those is licensed, it'd RULE. |

food for thought: the reason Battle Royale never got licensed in the U.S. is because Toei wanted a major countrywide release. I know the eroge softhouses are generally smarter on this issue but they might be looking for disproportionate sales, and thus asking too much to the licensors.

as much as Id love to see some of the Key and Type moon games in english I just dont see it happening. someone correct me if im wrong but isnt there stuff huge sellers in japan? just that those types of games are a niche of a niche in america. Hell Kana little sister still retails for 32.50(from peach princess site) and its what damn near a 7 year old game! and for the longest time it was 40! |

I can tell you that Galaxy Angel is already licensed. Yes, it is awesome and it does "RULE". They mentioned it at Brocolli USA's panel at Anime Expo. I was at the panel and they said they licensed to to another company. I don't remember them mentioning what company they licensed it to. They said it would be the PC version only though. They said they expect to be finished by this summer, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back. Oh ya, they also said sub only. I don't really care about that though. I think most if not all of the other dating sims on the market are sub only too. |

Err... Dubbed Hentai is bad enough... I really don't want to hear dubbed Bishojo games...
