Aww man, I was hoping FUNi would pick this up so we wouldn't have to worry about a Foster-ized dub.
Oh well. At least it's coming over here.

Wow, Sentai actually licenses a series that I've been following for some time. Needless to say I am actually somewhat shocked here that Sentai of of companies acquired this series and not Funimation.
This isn't a typical action series though, not in the least. That is why I am surprised Sentai of all companies would license this series. |

Sentai normally go with low profile anime, probably cheap too.
Sometimes, they hit gold with Infinite Stratos and High school of the Dead. Aniplex normally go with probably anime. |

If they did, those interested in knowing what Sentai has licensed as soon as it is made known would simply go to another site for their news, which wouldn't be good for ANN. |

She's ... younger than she looks. Btooom! {three O's and an exclaimation point, really? I've been pronouncing it Bu-toom all this time but I have no idea if I'm even close} just misses as a gritty action survival story because: 1 Very inane rules somehow enforced based on, well that would be telling. Not that it matters... 2 They all use booms. I mean bombs. Stupid, stupid bombs. You could have the same gritty survival story if you took a class full of students, armed them and stuck them on a deserted island. Or if you took survivors of an airplane crash, armed them and stuck them on a magical deserted island. Or if you just randomly armed people and gave money to the last man standing. Or if you just randomly armed people. Or... This better be more of a satire because the straight manga was rather boring. Sentai licensed this based on what exactly? |

The face looks way younger than the bust would suggest, I don't understand why the anatomy of so many female anime chars these days hits across the board, combining some bust and other curves (good) with a too-young-to-jibe-with-said-curves underaged "adorability" (creepy). Well, let me rephrase: I understand why they do it, but I don't understand why my fellow fans get all, ah, tumescent about it. 
This sounds eerily like SAO. I'd like to know if it could be the "thinker", the more profound and "intellectual" show that SAO could have almost been, but I know that such would be too much to ask so I'll settle for this: Will it be better than SAO? That's what I want to know. |
