So is this a new Licensee? or just a company that helps the process for others?

God bless 'em. I like their all in approach and I hope it works for em in the long run. The company's breadth of interests seems like it could allow them to potentially tackle every aspect of a franchise ie manga, anime, games, and merch.

I for one welcome this company. Very Happy

I hope something good will come out of this. I like to see how this will work out for anime/manga fans, and the same for foreign film fans.

Yeah, from their site: http://elalicensing.com/
It seems like they provide a service to existing licensees and licensors in legal, administrative work, marketing, etc rather than become a publisher themselves. Then again, it sounds like they may license and sublicense things out

If this helps the anime market, sure, all for it.

Hmm, this looks like it could be another teir of licensing bureaucracy, that will just add another hand to grease in order to get a title in house, which will be passed on to the customer as a price increase, or it could be like a high speed train tunnel under the Pacific for licensing clearing, which will also do the same. Either way it's going to cost us more. I hope it has the power to revoke any licence that is held in limbo by certain companies that are said to be out of business, but still able to hold on to them.

Seems like just a couple of old friends working together.

ELA functions like the old Enoki Films USA.

I don't think you have quite the right idea. This seems more to me like a company that helps other companies get the licenses they want by handling all of the red tape for them. It should actually make things cost less.

All in all, not a big deal. As if this is any sort of potential replacement for Bandai, as much as it sounded like it'd be. If anything, this is another of what Bandai is going to become.~ *sigh*

What would this mean for titles like the Super Robot Wars series of games?
