The only vague complaint I have is that you probably could have addressed the infantilization of Asuna in episode 9, and how idiotic it was how Kirito defeated the boss. (as opposed to what the OP led me to expect).
As for Tari Tari, Nao pretty obviously loved Mahiru, but it was not to be. She needs to find a nice girl and get it out of her system.

I concur.
What I really enjoyed from these past two episodes (besides the clever jab at mass consumption & tampering with nature to make sweets) was how well they were humanizing Watashi. She makes some careless mistakes but they were driven by personal desire and lack of fully understanding the circumstances. Nice to see that in complementary to how she first started as a Mediator. I'm gonna miss HHD once it ends.
So... glad I stuck with SAO. Even if the way Kirito dealt with the boss was silly, it was still entertaining.
Great to see more Asuna, Klien, and (brief appearance) of Lisbeth.
BTW didn't the Phantom Troupe massacure the final five Beasts?

In fact, for SAO, you could say that we're out of the Stand Alone Complex!
Thank you, try the veil!

despite an actual plot finally taking shape in So I Can't Play H!, if you didn't like it while in the human world, not sure how changing the scenery would make it any better. looking forward to ep 10 of Kokoro Connect since the preview suggests some sort of confrontation between Himeko and Iori. that should be fun

I strongly agree with you Bamboo on Natsuyuki Rendezvous. I tried to be patient with the whole body possession thing, but I am tired of it. I do not know if I still like it enough (right now) to warrant a purchase if/when it is released in home video.
On a brighter note, Kokoro Connect and Tari Tari have become my favorite shows of this season. I like where Sword Art Online is going, but I am cautiously optimistic. I am not too happy with Asuna leaving the front lines and becoming, what?, Kirito's housewife?
There are my top 5 series
1. Kokoro Connect
2. Tari Tari
3. Sword Art Online
4. Natsuyuki Rendezvous
5. Hyouka (I know, I should only watch legal streams)

I always come away from Tari Tari with the impression that's it's very self aware of its own cheese factor, and somehow that lets it off the hook for me. It's a smart show all around, really, and I'm pleased to see that it continues to be your highest ranked of those which began in Summer.

Was she "desperate"?

I wish to applaud you for making it to episode 10 of Muv-Luv. You are a better man then I am, even though you're a woman.

being in the guild is stressful and no longer fun. she wants to leave for a bit and team up with Kirito. less stress and more fun

Yeah, thats not the problem.
The problem is that she's being dueled over. Again

Its just like a real MMO... Nobody wants the hot girl to leave their guild! I remember back in my WoW days, top guilds would give hot girls officer positions and free loot just because of their appearance. Seems Sword Art Online is no different.

I dropped SAO a good while ago.
Just can't stand it. But then again, I saw .hack first. Maybe if I'd heard about SAO first I might've enjoyed it. But for now, sticking with Accel World because I find it that much more enjoyable then SAO.
Still sticking with TE though. Enjoying it like you wouldn't believe. That Railgun scene pretty much made me stick with it.

Sword Art Online (continued)
I want Asuna to be a strong woman. While her decision to leave the guild to become Kirito's partner is noble, romantic and sweet, I can't help it to find this a bit misogynistic. I want her to be the equal of Kirito, not his shadow. I hope I am wrong and SAO does a smart thing with this development.

I admit that made me roll my eyes a bit. I'm really enjoying SAO, but that irked me.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it "infantilizing" her, though.
