Shadow of the Colossus is quite possibly the greatest game of all time. I doubt The Last Guardian would be better, but I still want to play it.

I would have to disagree actually. Shadow of the Colossus is absolutely brilliant in a lot of areas (story, atmosphere, setting, etc.) but it is also a deeply flawed game. The camera is a nightmare and the controls (or more specifically the handling) are quite bad as well. I don't disagree with those who still call it a masterpiece but I'd call it a flawed masterpiece.

That's why I for one am really hoping everything works out with Last Guardian. I feel like we're still waiting for the fully polished, more complete experience that could be called team ICO's masterpiece.

With this news I wonder if we'll ever get to play, "The Last Guardian" at all. The latest preview videos I saw on the web a while back looked utterly amazing and, at the time, I thought the game was near completion. I really hope it gets released. I hate to think of such a potentially glorious game never seeing the light of day especially so near to the end (or so I assume) of completion.

This is terrible news. What the hell is going on with folks just leaving companies right in the middle of a project. Chances are we might never get it or we'll get something on the level of "Thief in the Cobbler".

Sometimes it seems like Sony is a sinking ship. What, exactly, distinguishes Sony from other consumer electronics and video entertainment companies? I own a Sony Bravia TV and a PS3, but I can't say I've seen anything from Sony in the past couple of years that makes me think they will ever return to the dominant position they once held in their primary industries.

If I were working at Sony, I'd be looking for other options as well.

shadow of the colossus is one of the best games i've played. maybe it's not perfect, but it's the only game that i was completely dumbfounded by at the start and was in love with after i finished it. controls are weird because of how simple they are, but at the same time take a little while to get used to. let's just say they feel awkward because no other game has controls like this that i've played. art and music is amazing and the story is barebones for most of the game until the end. the ending was so shocking because i'm not used to such a surprise like that in a video game story. really amazing twist of events. i'm not a big gamer, but it's one of the best games i've ever played. funny, how i just got ico off ebay this past week, but have to open it.

p.s. anyone else that played shadow feel devastated when that thing happens to your horse? i know i was.
