Quick question I was wondering what the order of movies was for Neon Genesis Evangelion. Is it "Death and Rebirth" followed by "End of Evangelion" or "End of Evangelion" followed by "Death and Rebirth"? Thanks

Death & Rebirth don't really matter, but technically, they come before End of Eva. On the advice of friends, I watched End of Evangelion after finishing the TV series, and didn't miss a thing. D&R were basically promos to recap the series and build up some buzz for the theatrical release of EoE.

To be more specific, the first 30 minutes of Air in End of Evangelion is the same footage used for Rebirth in Death and Rebirth. Whether or not this is the fault of Manga Entertainment of doing this, or this is how it was shown in the Japanese theaters, we might never know.
So, effectively, you could put in Death and Rebirth and watch Death, skip Rebirth, then put End of Evangelion in and watch the whole thing without going through the annoying part of watching the same thing over again.

Death is basically a recap of episodes 1-24, Rebirth is the first part of EoE. There is very little new footage in Death, other than some framing footage of the kids playing stringed instruments together - you have to be the sort of Eva fan who's memorized every single frame to pick out the new stuff. You can go straight from the TV series to the movies and not miss anything vital.

It's exactly how it was for the Japanese release. The whole point of D&R was to bring the series back fresh in everyone's minds, and to stall while EoE was finished, which is why Rebirth is composed of the beginning of EoE.
D&R can be skipped entirely, but it was still fun to watch, at least for me. Before the Director's Cut eps made it over here, it contained some footage not seen in the original release. In fact there are several versions of Death. Death as originally shown in theaters, Death(True) which was shown on WoWoW, and Death(True)^2 which was included in Revival of Evangelion.
