I was looking through the anime section recently at Best Buy and saw the "Exclusive at Best Buy" DVD of Kite. I've really been thinking about getting it after watching a trailer for it, but I want to know is if this is the uncensored version or the edited version.

It's the one with the shirt, right? I'm pretty sure it's the edited one. Check the running time. I believe the uncut running time is 60 minutes, but the edited one is less.

I can tell you right now that the Best Buy version is censored simply because they don't carry the Kitty Media line. The uncut version of Kite is called "Kite UNCUT" on the the cover and has the Kitty Media logo on the spline. You'll never find it at Best Buy unless there was a serious shipping mixup (rare, but not impossible).

If I recall correctely, that special Kite sale in Best Buy is the censored version (I mean I don't think Best Buy would ever dare put up hentai titles on their shelves, right
 ).

I saw both versions today in stores, and the Best Buy special is the cut version. It's only 45 minutes, while the uncut version is 60. Plus, the uncut one has "UNCUT" plastered on it along with "Absolutely not for Children."
And it is considered hentai/porn, so (like daxomni said) Best Buy wouldn't have it. |
