The website and the video reveal that Takeo Takahashi (Yosuga no Sora, So, I Can't Play H!) is directing the anime at the studio ARMS.
Aww yeah. Looking forward to this one more than I was before. |

Man, when was the last time ARMS did a non-trashy title?

I'm getting a "Legend of the Legendary Heroes" vibe off of this, and predict similar results.

Not even just that, it literally sits the reader down and lectures them on what the Demon Lord is teaching her disciple about her plans. The manga is about half lesson and half actual story, while being a parody of Dragon Quest the entire time. The characters don't even have names beyond their roles, they're just Hero, Demon Lord, Maid, etc.

So we may not get Spice and Wold season 3, but this series would be a good alternative. I'm down for some macroeconomics. Now I'm wondering if the characters are engaging and have good chemistry to each other.

For what its worth, the seiyuu for the two main characters are the same as Spice and Wolf. |

Unfortunately I don't think Maou in the trailer looks as cute as in the manga adaptation by Ishida Akira. Let's hope the anime makes her seem as intelligent as she should be. |

From the blurb it sounds like it's advocating the broken window fallacy and other Keynesian macroeconomic flaws But I will still watch it for teh boobs |

I might give it a look if that is the case, and the buzz about it is as good as for Spice and Wolf (which is now sitting on my shelves). The character designs are kind of meh-looking. They have that unremarkable "approved-character-design-for-light-novel-adaptations" look to them. The camera zoom on the shiny bowlingballboobs in the teaser made me want to dismiss it outright, though. The lack of subtlety makes a clear statement that excludes me as an intended audience member, unfortunately. |

So the writer/director have worked on a whole bunch of fanservice shows and Spice and Wolf? That oddly enough sounds like the right combination here. xD

Yeah, I like fanservice sometimes but it really doesn't seem appropriate here... |

That's what the manga adaptation did, and those act as natural storyboards for animation. |
