Anime Character Guessing Game, Q3-2012 Round.

About that ef image. That was pretty easy imo. I only watched half of the first season and I immediately recognized it was from the eF franchise. That background coloring is their thing.

I myself thought that Stark700's guess for this picture to be pretty odd. Seems kind of strange that he would think it was from the Lupin III OVA Return of the Magician - which was made in 2002 - when the animation style is so obviously reminiscent of something from much earlier. Apparently it was from the original T.V. series made thirty years before the OVA. To give people an idea of the art style of Return of the Magician, look at this screencap. I was very surprised he got the two confused.

Then there was this explanation that Stark700 gave, which was subtly different to the previous explanation he gave as to how he found the name of the show. At the time I thought "huh" and then nothing more, but now . . .

On their own both incidents could (and would) be passed off as genuine mistakes with his wording. You know, such as mistakenly giving the wrong title when you knew it was something different, or saying that it was the first Anime listed instead of the show being on the first page listed. Everyone has their senior moments, and they're pretty minor mistakes by themselves. But given the context of Calathan's evidence they are somewhat suspicious.
