I'm actually pretty excited for this! ...not in that way you pervs! 2D-men don't do much for me (even IF Tagame's guys are pretty much my type), but DAMN I need this just for the novelty value alone! |

This is pretty awesome. The art style and content is not really my thing but I am glad that it is coming to the states legally. I may buy some copies to support it. Maybe if this does well some more "Bara" aka manga for gay men come get licensed as well.

I can't say I'm not excited for this, but I'm more concerned that this could be another "prank" like when they announced the anime based on a Tagame work. If this IS real, I really hope that the bara community will actually BUY it and not just pirate the scans (which would be really dumb, since they probably already have the all the stuff in the anthology in scanlated versions anyway). I'm honestly surprised that they chose Tagame, though, considering how... EXTREME his works tend to be. There are many, MANY other well-known (and certainly more modern) bara mangaka who could have been chosen (Takeshi Matsu, Tsukasa Matsuzaki especially) but they always seem to get overlooked nowadays, and everyone goes gaga over Tagame, like he's some kind of bara messiah. It's troubling, to be honest, because that's not really a correct representation of the genre in my opinion. |

In addition to this release, Tagame's very first official English release of his work happened last month in the independent adult erotic zine Thickness. WARNING, SITE IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK/PUBLIC PLACES.

Well, congrats to Tagame-san for finally getting an English edition of his work for his US fans.
I do like some of his work but not really much of a fan of the very hard stuff he creates. However, I am going to support him by buying a copy. |

Wow. We finally got a release of actual "bara" manga. I'll definitely be putting this on my list of recommendations for the library. Never thought I'd see this genre ever getting released here. I'd be curious to see if this actually pushes for more manga of this type.
Oh, I had to laugh at that last line. 
Though I'm curious to find out how big this book will be. |

Not my thing, but I know a friend who was severely disappointed when the anime rumor turned out to be false. I immediately sent him a message when hearing the news and he is totally stoked about this. Yay for bara finally coming to the US!
