You know a title is too long when it doesn't completely fit in a subject bar...
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Ikusai Keikaku with Asuka Hokan Keikaku This is the sequal to the Dreamcast game from a few years back called Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Ikusai Keikaku. The concept is that it's your job to watch over and raise either Rei or Asuka for a year. You're in total control over their day to day life causing their personalities to develop in different ways over time. This is the same concept as Princess Maker. This isn't a dating sim, it's more of a life sim. You can see pics over at Magic Box: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Ikusai blah blah blah Interesting concept, I really wish there was a market for games like this in the US. You have to admit, it atleast looks better than raising pokemon. Emerje |

Two other games are coming, one that is an RPG, and an Eva dating sim set in the AU from 26. Apparently Kawrou is a valid option in that game.

What will be really cool if the Eva RPG has the fighting engine from Xenosaga. It would be perfect, as long as it doesn't have as many cinema scenes as Xenosaga did. Don't get me wrong, Xenosaga was a great game, but it was more like watching an interactive movie than playing a rpg.

Yeah, there's all kinds of great anime games coming out, though. Bandai's bringing out the Lupin III game (based on the anime, not the manga) for PS2, and I think it's Square-Enix that's making a tight cel-shaded RahXephon shooter, also for PS2. Plus, Sega & Wow Entertainment have been working on games based on Trigun & Dororo. I've seen the Dororo game in Official U.S. Playstation Magizine, and it looks similar to Shinobi, but I haven't seen the Trigun game yet. Given Wow's track record though (They made the House of the Dead series, & I think they did Confidential Mission on Dreamcast), it will probably be an arcade light-gun game. Plus, rumor has it that Atari's thinking about picking up the Yu Yu Hakusho liscense after the success they've had with DBZ: Budokai & it's Goku RPGs for Game Boy Advance.

It seems like the game is just a shorter version of Princess Maker series games. It would be nice to have some more dating sims brought to the english market though.

Did anybody else get a copy of Graduation when Mixxzine was selling it? I love that game, and still play it. It's a Princess Maker kind of thing, except you're teaching five girls. There were several others in the series in Japan, including an all boy one, but Mixxzine didn't market it well, so it didn't sell, so the sequels never got imported. Waah.
