My username is my real first name with a Japanese accent. Being Japanese at heart, it seems only appropriate.

Well to be honest i had Cartoon Network on late one night and Inuyasha was on. Inuyasha and fiends were chasing after Naraku like they always do, and they kept saying the word "Miasma" and i really didn't pay much attention to it. But then my mom comments "Miasma, thats a good word." I didn't even know it was a real word, i was thinkin that it was something those crazy people made up. So i looked into it and i found out it really was a word and a kick ass one at that. Webster defines it as "An influence or atmosphere that tends to deplete or corrupt" and micrsoft defines it as "A harmful or poisonous emanation, especially one caused by burning or decaying organic matter." They both really mean the same thing so that was my new name. I really only use it when i play on-line (dod and cs) and when i'm on anime related sites. |

"Tetsujin" refers to Seraph from the The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In the second movie, there is a song titled "Teahouse" for the scene where he and Neo meet for the first time and spar. In the third movie, there is a song titled "Tetsujin" where Seraph has an important role after the movie begins; this is where I took the name I use here.
(I didn't know about Tetsujin 28 until after I registered here. My login name has nothing to do with the anime aside from the name itself.) |

Hmmm, let's see. I was watching Scryed when I had to come up with a user name for ANN a couple years ago. I was tired of my old name (the eel) but wanted to stick with the aquatic theme, hence a shell, but not just any shell - a shellbullet!

My user name comes from the show Chikyuu Shoujo Arjuna. From the music, actually, to be more specific. ^^; "Cloe" is the title of a piece of BG music that plays during one of Arjuna's most visually breathtaking moments:
It's an image that stayed with me long after I finished the series, and "Cloe" remains one of my absolute favorite Yoko Kanno songs to date. |

Holy cow... you've got nicks with baggage? What kind of baggage are you talking about? You can't just leave us hanging like that. Did you bad-mouth somebody's precious anime series? Did you give away a crucial plot element without using the spoiler tag? I really can't fathom what kind of baggage a simple nick name can engender on an anime forum unless it was "Eva Sucks" or something like that. There's no interesting story behind my nick. I choose whatever pops into my head when it's time to pick my name. I can't think of two boards where I picked the same nick twice. Usually I try to tie it to the theme of the forum, but not this time. |

Same here. I never even heard the term until I listened to the IY dub. But I got so use to watching fansubs calling it shouki that I ended up making fun of the dub calling it "My Asthma," which I guess implies the same meaning of a toxic atmosphere making it difficult to breathe  .
Oh, and my username should be self explanatory. My first name is Tony, and my last name starts with a 'K." Although, I will give you all a hint and say that it's twelve letters long, has three syllables, and sounds similar to "Campbell's Soup." I am Lao, just so you all know, so I doubt any of you might even begin to guess what it is... |

Well, I have always used the user name RoseWhip, mostly because DragonOfTheDarknessFlame is way too long. And besides, is there a cooler weapon than a whip with thorns you pull out of your hair?

Seems like a lot of the usernames have derived or originated from an anime they have watched... How the hell did I get my one? Oh yeah. It's after watching Naruto. spoiler[You know the episode where Kakashi fights Zabusa and Kakashi does that summoning thing to call his dawgs to eat Zabusa. Well, I thought that jutsu was awesome, and ever since, I said to people "my dog ate you too]". Wow, that's random. But anyways, that's how I got my username.[/spoiler]

My nick is not from any anime -_-
Bosque is the spanish word for "Forest" and it's just and oooold nick i elected for express my ecologism and like to the wonderful, beautiful, full of nature and mysterious places the forests are.

With my name, I was just trying to come up with something different that no one else had. For some reason The Wizard of Oz was stuck in my mind--don't ask me why. So I just took the word "Oz" and gave it a different spelling: "AHZ"
Voila! |
