Hate to nit-pick, but shouldn't that be four friends? (Unless Sphere has a fifth member that I am unaware of, or there is a fifth character introduced later in the show than the last episode I saw...)

Yeah, its 4 friends, each voiced by a member of Sphere.

I wonder if the two weeks "delay" between episodes 10 and 11 might have something to do with this. Or could it be that because the show has been mediocre for the most part, Aniplex (Japan) does not want to release the series, fearing it might bomb?
I know I am being silly. But do any of you like Natsuiro Kiseki? I don't.

The "delay" was for soccer matches that were planned to air there all along. Has nothing to do with the production. And I doubt they don't want to release it, since its mainly just an advertisement for Sphere in the first place. It should do okay sales numbers based on the DVD preorders at least (though we have no numbers of the BD release due to the Amazon/Aniplex dispute).
And its an okay show. Nothing great, but not painful to watch either.

It's likely because there are so many animation quality issues that they have to spend a good amount of time cleaning them up.
I'm enjoying Natsuiro. The incidents that the rock's power creates are pretty fun and the overall flow and direction of the show is competent enough.

Yeah, I'd imagine thats what its about. Recent weeks have had a lot of low quality art.

I also think is mostly to correct the animation mistakes made in the broadcast version, specially the mistakes done in the 8th and 9th episode. The will probably announce the Blu-Ray/DVDs as a Director's Cut or something later.
I think Sunrise just noticed that the show would bomb if they don't fix the animation problems they start having after episode 3.

Oh boy, yes...I sure hope sunrise goes back and fixes the animation problems. I love the show, but some problems were really distracting.

I tend to be the type to overlook animation problems, but there are so many off-model moments in this series that I can't help but be distracted by them too. It's not among my highest favorites of the season, but I do rather enjoy the series for the characters and the quirky supernatural mishaps.

I like it, it's a nice story about friendship that has to break apart but the characters don't want it to, so it all hinges on the final episode.
