Ever think that maybe they WON'T review it?  Why don't you ask them why they never reviewed Halo?  ANN is an anime website; just because they have a small video game section doesn't mean they're gonna devote all their resources to game reviews.

MAYBE BECAUSE...halo isn't really related to anime, while Dragon Quest 8's character design was done by legendary Toriyama of the dragon ball fame. Not only that, but there's also a dragon quest anime, so yes it's related to anime, much like the Inuyasha games. But I have to say I think the game reviewer for ANN is a bit extreme with his opinion. It seem like it's either he likes it alot and give it an A rating or hate it and give it an F rating. |

True, but in the case of Dragon Quest, the anime is modeled from the game, not the other way around. Now if they came out with a DQ anime modeled from DQ 8, then it might be worth reviewing the game. |

No, I meant if they came out with a Dragon Quest anime that is modeled from Dragon Quest 8 (the game), then it might be worth reviewing the game. Like I said, the Dragon Quest animes were made based on different versions of the game. The games weren't made based on the anime. Dragon Quest: Abel Yuusha — loosely based on Dragon Quest III, 30+ episodes, 13 episodes dubbed in the United States, called "Dragon Warrior" Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken — loosely based on Dragon Quest II and Dragon Quest III, 46 episodes, 3 movies Dragon Quest: Emblem of Roto — takes place prior to Dragon Quest I, movie |

All of the reviews on ANN are about games based off of anime. I thought that was all that ANN reviewed, so I thought they wouldn't review it if it was the other way around.
You never said that, at least not on this thread. |

Yo ANN game review reader! I actually have it in my que to review. Thanks for the reminder. And yea, my opinions could be seen as extreme since....well...they are  I really didn't like a few games, and sorta liked some others. The only one I REALLY enjoyed so far was Tenkaichi, whose review will show up in PA sometime. Otherwise, you’re the best judge of your own tastes as Steve pointed out. Ill just tell ya exactly what didn't or did sit well with me and let you decide the rest

Certainly not many anime game reviews specially when there are alot of anime based games or other way around out there. Dealing with Ghost in the Shell games,VampireHunter D, Lupin, Orphan(I wonder was the anime based off the game or was the game based off the anime? I need to go find that out.),little nemo( pretty sure the game came first...that's another I need to look into.),Robotech, quite alot of other games I know of and some(or alot) I don't even know of. But can't ask for everything, well you could ask for everything but you just can't get it.  .
