Sorry for throwing up another 2nd season speculation thread but I need to know something. In the opening of the series, you see Beck getting their equipment set up in front of a diner. Howeverthat diner never shows up until Ryuuske goes back to america and meets up with John Lee Davis in either the very last or second to last episode. Could this be a sort of way of telling us that there will be a second season of Beck or am I reading too much into it?

I don't know how popular this show was in Japan, so I'm not holding my breath. But I'd LOVE to see another season of BECK. I know the manga's still running strong - I'm sure they've got plenty of material. Maybe even an OVA of the American Tour? I'll take anything. I'm even reading the manga (the whole 2 volumes), and I've never read manga.

Well I always had this dream...
As the Japanese dont really like "Anime X 2" kinda releases, they could make something in the terms of "Beck: The Tour Diary". It would be a second season highlighting the arc when they toured America, a sort of expansion to the slide show from the last episode. This could actually work!
But I kinda feel this will remain a dream...

Beck was an amazing series and all the songs they played were absolutely mind blowing. I especially liked the I've got a feeling cover they did, and not to mention all of the original songs they played at that one concert towards the end of the series. I'd absolutely love a second season, but I'm almost 95% sure that they wont.

Thats not the only thing I noticed from the opening. None of the scenes in the opening are in Japan. They are all obviously in Las Vegas and New York or at least a reasonable look alike of the two. On top of that, there seemed to be some kind of argument between Koyuki and Ryuuske in the opening. Ryuuske almost looked like he said thank you in english. I could almost swear that this opening foreshadows the possiblity of a second season. Plus, Beck ended in Japan only recently. It's still a pretty good possibility.

That is to say, that very few shows, even the ones with those super-open endings that don't answer all of your questions will have a second season. Don't expect a second season of anything, but call it a pleasant surprise when there is. |

Yeah, I agree, it's a longshot. It's not like Major where Goro actually said to stay tuned for season 2... That was so convenient

Or there was the end of School Rumble where they actually animated a next episode preview and then said, oops we forgot this was the last episode, sorry.

yeah wel school rumble was a comedy and a parody of the romance anime in general. Beck isnt the kind of show to do smethinglikethat.
I hope we go get a season 2 it was a awsome show.
doesnt Funimation have the rights to the first season?
I hope they release OSTs I want em but not willing to pay the price for what the jp releases are.
