All good things must come to an end.

Well to be honest, the manga was never as good as the anime itself. KyoAni is what made the franchise so good, not the original source material.

True, but it just seems like it didn't really have time to really get anywhere. Maybe the author will have some better ideas for a new manga some day though, or resume it later. I can always hope.

Or kakifly wanted to end it again. Maybe the author will make a surprise announcement later about continuing the series where Azunyan forgoes college and rejoins the rest of the girls.
With both versions ending, I hope Manga Time Kirara can get the tankoubons out (there should be enough material for at least one volume of each, right?)

There are only four official volumes released though unless you mean 5th volume once Manga Time collects either the college or high school stories in one volume.

It's hard to say what exactly is going on behind the scenes half a world away.
It does look like enough material to do at least two volumes of similar size to the first series. That may be enough for Kyoto Animation to run with as well.
It's been a good ride regardless, thank you Kakifly.

We wait for KyoAni's season 3 then we let K-ON rest in peace. Everyone agrees?

Dang, I was really hoping the High School Edition would continue for awhile longer. Hopefully it at least ends with the college girls getting to see Azusa's band perform. I'm quite sad about this actually.
I'm not sure if they will make a third season if sales or something like that is the real reason for the manga ending. I guess there are enough chapters for a 12 episode, quarter-season, if they really wanted to. But depending on the manga ends, there might be a huge timeskip to end of the year.

This is really a sad news. First the university now the high school?!
Sad but true, everything has an end. But for sure, this anime will be forever reign just like the other anime. K-On will stay forever in our hearts.
Thank you Kakifly for a wonderful manga that you've made. Thank you KyoAni for a very wonderful and unforgettable anime that you made. This anime will stay forever in the history of anime. My God Bless you all.

Well, looks like kakifly gained enough millions to stop all his/her manga and live a life of luxury. I did hear that the university K-ON! manga was removed due to crazy threats from crazy fans though...
