I caught Oblivion Island on the big screen as part of FanExpo '10 and really liked it. I encourage you all to sample a bit of it to see if it is your cup of tea. I'll definitely be buying the BD/DVD combo.

Sadly, the film was not my cup of tea, too much sugar. Razz

It was a bit more of a kids flick than I can generally stand. Surprisingly so, with a title like that I was expecting something a bit darker.

Aw, that sucks that you didn't like it, Kruszer. Now I have to hate you. Wink To me, the story had a very Miyazaki feel. In fact, I didn't realize it at the time (because I saw Oblivion Island first), but there is a sequence in it that is pretty much a straight lift from Castle in the Sky.

Every time I see a super-cheap U.S. Walmart price for anime that I can't access (since U.S. Walmart does not ship to Canada and Walmart Canada NEVER has the same kind of deals) I really just wanna kick someone in the 'nads.

Yeah. There is not much you could do for Canada site. With that said the Walmart.com pricing are very much welcomed to those who shop at Amazon.com. They pricematch to most listed anime @ Walmart.com.

It looks like we have a release delay. Amazon.com has updated the release date for Ergo Proxy from 7/3 to 8/28. TRSI hasn't updated the release date as of this post.

The delay probably has to do with the upcoming JP DVD and BD-Box releases.

Wow, the JP dvd reissue is pretty cheap, relatively speaking.

Not too often Funi gets their stuff up before Sentai, but I'm glad they're up before the sale ends Thursday. Anyways, I'll be grabbing:

Is this a Zombie LE
One Piece 7
and...and...*puke* Freezing LE Combo.

So it seems the whole "Kadokawa cockblocking BDs" has more validity with PSG and now Zombie being DVD-only (though Zombie was never confirmed for BD, but I imagine they'd still want it). I'll also probably grab the new One Piece set, even though releasing it in half sets now seems kind of pointless. I'm just addicted to the show, so I can't help it. I would double dip for Shana on BD if they made their own versions since Japan's is atrocious, but I doubt they'll have that permission.

Just noticed Freezing comes out the day after my birthday. Oh boy. That's the ultimate gift right there. Can't wait for that one.

Then again, if Funimation wants to make it a really cool birthday, the special gift will be a poster with Satellizer in her white dress. That'd be awesome.
