Wait wait wait...The article says that as of March 23, the sales were around 1.5 million.

And now its sales are 2.5 million.

You're telling me it sold 1 million volumes in one month!? What does it think it is, One Piece?

Are you sure it's not that it just got another million volumes printed, which will be sold eventually?

Yeah seconded!

I want to read this but I just can't enjoy reading manga Online anymore. And right now there isn't a lot of manga coming out I want to buy so it seems like a perfect time for another Arakawa title to be released. Well maybe after the anime comes out.

Not surprising, this is a pretty great manga. The characters are fairly interesting Arakawa's excellent ability with facial expressions makes this manga even better.

I'm always amazed when a manga by an author like this isn't licensed instantly.

I know. Especially with this being a Shonen Sunday title, you'd have thought Viz would be all over it instantly.

I generally agree, but maybe they're worried that an agricultural focus wouldn't sell well?

Though even if that was the case, you'd think that it would get enough sales just on Arakawa's name to merit a license...

Exactly. Slap "From the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist" on, and bingo. They seem to do that with Yun Kouga and Loveless.
