Wait...what? I was under the impression from the trailers that there weren't really any original characters (they sure didn't throw them out there anyway) in the movie, and it was instead adapting story arcs from the manga. I'm sure there'll be some differences in how it's done and in what order and whatnot...so the new manga will be following that only in manga form?

Hmm...I'm not really loving the idea, but it's Watsuki and it's Kenshin - I will love the hell out of it anyway probably, once I do actually get to read it.

Wait they had to come up with new bad guys for the movie? There were plenty of people for him to fight form the manga and anime.

This makes the film promising! Watsuki tends to be careful when adding villains as commented by himself in the volumes.

Can we even call the OVA a reboot? It's just an OVA ...

Huh, it seems everyone is interpreting this differently from me. I'm reading the "Kenshin to fight live-action film's characters" as basically manga reconstructions of the battles that were originally depicted in the manga and translated into a live-action format. In other words, it'll be a manga recreation of the movie, including fights with the characters we've seen before. (I'm doubting there will be completely new characters for Kenshin to fight against in the film and thus the new manga...)
