well this is disappointing i was kinda hoping the rumors were true about it lasting for one year but i guess if it does well enough it might get a second season.

What I don't get is the odd number they're ending on...17 episodes assuming 1 episode per week. It's pretty rare to end at that number..

Maybe my counting skills are bad, but I count 13 weeks from the first airing until June 27. 13 Episodes seems normal to me.

Eh, doesn't mean much. Could just mean the show is taking the summer off. It seems to be what a lot of shows are doing this year.

Personally, I love well-paced 13-episode shows. I'd rather see a good 13-episode series than an artificially-drawn-out longer one.

That idea works if it's an original anime, but the manga this is adapting is quite long already at 17 volumes, so drawing it out for twice or even three times the length isn't a problem.

And here I was thinking that this would be a four-cour series. Hope it gets a sequel or three, I want to see the Moon and Mars colonisation missions. Not to mention Mutta growing up as a person and learning to stop moping about trivial things.

This was apparently resolved back in April with Sam's comment on the original article. It concerns when a promotion will end, not the actual show. Let's not continue this discussion any further since it's just confusing unless you read the original posting carefully.
