Well thats because in the movies you actually see Asuka's chest exposed. You see Rei practically nude when she fuses with Lilith. Thats why.

Because the movies contain far more violence, nudity, and sexual situtations than the series does.

The second movie, The End of Evangelion, features many mature situations, such as Shinji wanking off to Asuka's comotose body (with exposed chest) as well as the end of the world. Oh, and the f-word (once in Japanese, twice in English).

Even though Manga Entertainment did not had any age recommendations. It would be similar to the ADV 15+ category.

Who cares about the movies anyway, they're garbage.
The series is exellent, so why bring the crap movies into the picture when we can focus on the good things about EVA?
Well that's how I feel.

Well if were talking crap we should drop the last two episodes before the movies heh the movies were created to be the 'real' ending and personally i dident think EoE was crap i thought it could have been better but all in all was good.

Um, they say it once in the Japanese version (when Shinji says "I'm so f-ed up,"). In the dub, it's said twice (when Shinji says "I'm so f-ed up," and when Misato says "SO F-ING WHAT IF I'M NOT YOU?!") Can't get much clearer than that.

Actually, they are both the "real" ending. The same exact thing happens in both of them, you just see it from different perspectives.

I find it very sad and pathetic that "Nudity" was the first issue raised.

well, I figured that much.
I meant that, if the english script is taken from a translation of the japanese one (and yes, I know its not directly translated), why would there be the f-word once in japanese, but twice in english?
