First off, if you haven't heard of "Deadman Wonderland" I'd definitely recommend reading it, it is a very dark manga with some great action, comparable to Elfen Lied, Higurashi, and Chaos Head.
Anyway onto the thread post~
For those of you who have read the series: Thoughts?
Do you like the anime or manga better?
Also, WHY DID IT GET CANCELED? I know it was all financial and stuff ._. But it was such a great series and I really hate supporting scanlations DX
Oh well, feel free to discuss the series below

Well, if you're referring to the US release, I think that was a tokyopop license, so when Tokyopop basically went out of business, I think that license might have reverted back to the original holders. I know they only made it to like, volume five or so, while in Japan they're on 12 or so.

I haven't read the series, since by the time I'd heard of it Tokyopop had already gone under. I did watch the anime and really liked it ... at the beginning. Even without reading the manga I could sort of feel that things were being rushed by the later episodes, so by the end I was rather disappointed by the result.
However, if the license was ever rescued I definitely would be interested in checking it out, since there was a lot that really interested me in this series.

I think anyone who'd watched the Anime should pick up the Manga. The story had been consistently entertaining and the new characters and new kind of battles are pretty fun to read.
If the storyline of Anime series is considered as a 1st arc, the Manga is currently in 3rd arc, which is probably the final arc if the Mangaka didn't plan to drag it longer.

i got 2 volumes of the manga before tokyopop croaked.....i was diggin it but now im in a postion where I cant read it because i cant buy any more as my general rule is if im buying the books i wont read scans so that i can have new material to read when i get the book.
Only ones i break this rule for is one piece and berserk although berserk is so slow that im considering just applying the rule to that.
basically if i cant buy any more then i wont get to see what happens but its such a promising manga i cant really see it staying away forever just until somone shifts tokyopops dumb bloated corpse of the legal rights.
