This isn't like the 10 most favourite and 5 least favourite thread. What i'm asking in this thread is to name what parts of your favourite anime did you like the most and which parts you thought were bad for the series/movie.
Honey & Clover:
Good: Shinobu Morita is what made this series what it is for me. Without Morita I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I do. Morita was the main reason I kept watching the series and after a few more episodes I learned to like the other characters as much as him. What else was good about this series? Hmmm...the music for one as well as the character personalities and how they were realistic.
Worst: Many of the episodes felt like mini-two part episodes much like how alot of the episodes of Ichigo 100% were. Another thing that was bad for me was that it took me a long time to get used to Hagu's character. For one it took me awhile to like her character design. "A girl that looks like she should be in grade 4 is 18?!" is how I felt at first, but the fact that she looked like a little kid began to grow on me after 8 episodes.
Flame Of Recca:
Good: The characters became instant favourites of mine after the first 3 episodes. Especially in episode 1 where Recca fights Domon in the beginning. At the beginning of the series I found that each character was unique in some way and the back story of Recca coming from the past was unique. The characters is what carried me through the entire series. The story began to lack later on but was still entertaining. Another part I loved about the series was the opening song though i've forgotten it's name. Another thing I liked was the unique design of the elemental weapons. Each was uniquely designed with unique powers........well most of them anyways.
Worst: The tournament. Though the fights were enjoyable it just felt that the tournament for an underground organiztion didn't seem to fit the series. Also another thing that I was disappointed in was the ending of the series. It left alot of questions unanswered for me like would they cure the curse of Recca's mother? And why didn't Recca's hime play a more important role in the end other than as cheerleader and source for inspiration?

Neon Genesis Evangelion:
Good: The complete story was massively planned and executed almost perfectly. The characters had some of the most fascinating and deep feelings that were expressed so well that words alone cannot describe.
Bad: Those damn Cicadas in the background were annoying as hell. The only flaw that appeared to me in the series was the noisy insects that were so loud that at times they even hindered the ability to hear what the characters were saying.

Robotech:
Good part: Complex storyline that dealt with aliens and a war against them. Plus, there was that hole love triangle that I kind of liked. Also the unique way of bring three different shows together into one.
Bad Part: Dubbing I thought was pretty bad. Also, The second season, "Southern Cross", I thought was rushed and wasn't as great as the other two seasons of the show. There were also parts of the show I thought just were not needed. Like, the part of Rick and Minmay getting lost on the SDF-1. Just thought it made it alittle bit boring.

Air TV
Good: Cute character designs and not so simple story coming from something based off a date-sim game. The relationship between Mizusu and her Aunt in the late episodes. Mizusu has turned out to be one of the characters that just pop out in my mind. The two things that made me really like her was that she had to suffer so much and still seem so happy on the outside and her two things that just made her adorable for me: the V thing with her two fingers and her "gao" whenever she was mad or disappointed or upset.
Bad: Why the hell did I have to read a spoiler that said she was gonna die at the end of the series. BTW I read that spoiler after I saw the first episode. After I read that spoiler watching each and every episode up to her eventual death was so hard to do. Lemme explain. Knowing someone is going to die and knowing you can't do anything for that person leaving you with a feeling of total hopelessness is what reading that spoiler did to me. Yeah that might be weird to some people but thats how I felt.
Neon Genesis Evangelion TV
Good: The mecha designs, the music, the characters and especially the personalities of the pilots. The way they are portrayed as disturbed heroes is a nice change from the "invincible hero" types seen more often. The story and direction it takes is masterful. Hideaki Anno is one of the more creative minds out there and I believe only he could have handled this project like he did.
Bad: The last two episodes of the series. Some moments where the comedy just doesn't fit. Also seeing Shinji in Asuka's spare flight suit was really disturbing. Seeing Shinji half or in full nude more than the female characters early in the series was also something I thought was really bad.

Blood the Last Vampire:
Good: The animation was completely revolutionary when it was released. The movie had non-stop action and I was actually scared at a couple of parts and I had to remind myself that is was just an anime.
Bad: The movie should have been longer and we should have seen more details about the main character and what had happened to her in the end of the movie. That sort of thing is always great.

Hmm, I have a hard time ranking my favorite animes, so I'll just choose one from the bunch randomly for the purpose of this topic.
Kare Kano
Good: The characters. Simply put, rarely have I seen a character-driven anime executed with such care and effectiveness. Each character has her or his own distinct personalities and traits--you'll never mix them up with one another, and yet each one contributes meaningfully to the whole of the series. Indeed, an entire half-season could easily have been dedicated to just about any of the main support characters' stories, but of course Yukino and Soichiro rightfully occupied the spotlight most of the time. The story was very well done, with a perfect mixture of drama, comedy and cerebral conscience-probing. If you're looking for one of the most touching and emotionally engaging romance animes available, Kare Kano will not disappoint. Oh, and the music and art rocks, too.
Bad: The final slew of episodes abruptly changes the superb momentum built up by the beginning and middle of the series, bringing the anime to a somewhat muddled and not-too-satisfying conclusion. Particularly annoying was the episode where Yukino's young sisters recap the series in an episode filled completely with crayon depictions of everything you've come to know up to that point--it really threw me for a loop. And the conclusion of the anime is far from what many viewers will be looking for. But hey, that's where the manga comes in.

Last Exile
Good: I loved the first 2 and final 2 episodes, the naval style air battles were very well done and had a great feel to them. I think the first battle sequences takes the cake though as it has a much more naval feel where as the last few episodes are just a little too fast paced
Worst: The romance parts in the middle few episodes when the show starts to feel like it's steering towards the harem route. It's all well and good to setup a little romantic tension but I think they started trying to take it a little too far to the point it just started to get stupid.

RahXephon
Good: I loved how it was done, and all the allusions to music and art that it had
Bad: I was expecting the final battle, the one that decides the entire world's fate, to be longer and more interesting

Tenchi Muyo: Ryo-Ohki OAV's.
The Good........
- unforgettable and well crafted cast of characters
- expansive and unique sci-fi universe
- solid storywriting placing equal emphasis on romantic drama, adventure, and well-timed comedy
- animation that's growing on 20years old and hasn't dated a bit
The Bad..........
- Casio keyboard soundtrack
- characters' actions often poorly explained
- series occasionally drags its feet on the key romance storyline
The Ugly............
- two domestic distributors, two different (and equally poor) methods of dealing with Washu attempting to *ahem* "forcibly remove" sperm from Tenchi.

You forgot something.
Lack of Kiyone.
Well, the REAL Kiyone, anyway.

Bah, according to His Highness Kajishima we have received the real Kiyone, regardless of your limited capability to accept her, Nagisa.

Witch Hunter Robin
Good: I loved when Amon helped Robin escape the attack on the STNJ. The music helped add even more emotion to the already dramatic situaion, it was one of the best parts. I also liked when Amon goes to kill Robin and he changes his mind as well as the end, despite how open ended it was.
Bad: I hated that the show ended the way it did. I know I just said I liked it but what I liked was the emotion in it. It's like the ultimate climax...but it kind of...fell short. I'm very disappointed that we won't get a live action version or another season.

Ai Yori Aoshi
Not my favorite but could've been better.
Good:The moments when Kaoru and Aoi were left alone. Mainly the starting episodes and the final episodes and some in between. These pieces were great.
One of my favorite pieces in the anime that was tied together at the very end was When it was thought to be his first kiss in episode 12 with mayu-chan and in the end they show that his first kiss was actually during the time that Kaoru and Aoi spent during their childhood time together. (She kissed him when he got tired of playing and went to sleep by the tree.)
Kaoru+Aoi=Good
Bad: Comedy...Tina during any scene=Bad
Taeko partially as well but there was a good episode.
Why is it that they always ruin a good romance anime with excess amounts of comedy.
But I guess it is because they wanted to follow the manga which they did very faithfully.

Martian Successor Nadesico:
Good: Loved the story, loved the comedy elements. The characters were memorable, and the way it progressed was very well done. Many important things happened to influence the characters and to advance the story, and the way that anime was tied into this anime was extremeley well done. Good soundtrack.
Bad: The end was Terrible. They clearly said to make way for a sequel, yet there was none. This left so many things hanging, like the mysterious piece Ai gave to Ines and may aspects of the story. Horrible way to end my favorite series.
Samurai Champloo:
Good: Amazing characters, because characters are usually what I look for in an anime - if it has amazing characters, then I love it. Great animation, great soundtrack as well. The last 3 episodes were masterpiece because of the rebirth of the characters, them almost dying, Fuu being saved, and the many hints of Mugen and Fuu
Bad: Almost no story, but this really doesn't matter to me. Only like 8 story episodes. The only bad thing I guess was episode 22, which was a dishonor to all anime. Terrible episode.
