I have a feeling that if that was ever really used, it would break very, VERY easily

It's almost certainly extremely resilient, actually. These are expert swordsmiths.

She must be, as that would explain why she's inadequately clothed.
It's like they wanted a man to model the spear but were told that scantily-clad women were the industry standard for models and so they got the Asian version of Starla from Napoleon Dynamite to strike a "happy medium". What other explanation could there be?
Why is a person who looks nothing like anyone or anything from Eva holding this thing anyhow?
BTW I'm glad that this article pointed out (ha ha) that this was modeled on the spear from Eva as by default I would have assumed something from Bible Black, Japan's "contribution to the world".

The thing weighs 62 pounds, I doubt too many Japanese cosplay models could lift that and still look good doing it and seeing that lady dressed as any girl from the series would certainly loose the appeal.

Pretty sure he meant she was sexy. And I'm incline to agree. Something about muscle on weapon is particularly attractive, to me. And a muscly Asian woman? Oh, man. That's hot.

A 10-foot-long Spear of Longinus...Eva fans must be shitting themselves right now.
The measures used only make it even more clear why we Americans will never adopt the metric system. 3 meters makes it sound shorter than it is!
