Probably one of the better comedy series in recent years. Sadly, when the series did not actively feature the Prince, the episodes weren't that great but there were only a couple of those episodes. It also requires patience to sit through the first three episodes as it gradually builds up but the reward is worth it.

Series wavers in quality at over times, but overall it;s pretty funny. I'll definently pick it up though I wonder who they'll get to voice Prince Troll-I mean Baka...

Funimation did not announce DVD or Blu-ray release plans, but did announce that the series will be available on various streaming platforms beginning in March.

What's the point of getting a streaming-only license of a catalog show that was streaming on Crunchyroll anyway?

Huh. That was unexpected.

Still, this is one of only 7 anime I watched last year so I'll be picking this up.

I love Level E. Love love love love it. Can't wait to buy the heck out of the DVDs if Funi will be so kind as to provide.

I will buy this day one.

Surely you guys can't pass up HxH either! Viz said they weren't getting it so... Very Happy

"FUNimation Entertainment announced today at Katsucon that it has acquired the broadcast, home entertainment, and streaming rights to the complete anime series, Level E. "

Home entertainment = BD/DVD, right?

I'm quite surprised they picked this series up considering that there are better fish to catch. Come on FUNi, each of these would have been a better catch

Black Jack (2004)
Zettai Karen Children
The Qwaser of Stigmata
Umineko No Naku Koro Ni
Moretsu Pirates

I hope Area no Kishi gets a dub...but it's not bloody likely for obvious reasons.

^ That's what I thought it meant as well.

If Funimation did pick up the DVD/BR rights to the show then that really made my day, I'd been thinking that it might get picked up by a smaller company for a bare bones release but since it's been two years since the show aired I was getting less hopeful about it. Fun series, hope it comes out soon enough that I can show it to my anime club before I leave school.

Just curious... Any reason you'd choose Sentai over Funi?
