On a "What's Hot" segment of a local news broadcast, there was a short blurb about the upcoming release of The Cowboy Bebop Remix DVD. You don't hear much about anime releases on the news but I guess Bebop is another story.
The story after that really just blew me away. According to the newscast, there is an American meterologist claiming that Hurricane Katrina was MANMADE by the Japanese Yakuza in retaliation for dropping the atomic bomb during World War II. Can you believe the insanity of that statement? No word on HOW they created it, according to this psycho. They treated it like it was just a joke story, you know, something to make you laugh, but lots of people are still suffering from the aftermath of that storm, and it really didn't seem appopriate. |

Wow. What kind of dumbass news channel broadcasts a story about the Japanese creating weather to kill Americans because of what happened in WWII? Last I checked, we've been butt-buddies with Japan for years. I guarantee there's probably some people in Japan who hate us, but we've been on relatively good terms with them for a long time. If they wanted to kill us, they would've done it already. If there's anyone who wants to kill Americans, it's the [deleted] in Iraq. Whoever made up that story should be shot. Seriously, they should put him in front of a firing squad and broadcast it on television.

Our weather is controlled by Ross Webster, who, with the help of Gus Gorman, embezzled the fraction of pennies from banking machine transactions to build a big evil supercomputer in the desert which uses weather satellites to control the weather and which can stop oil rigs from pumping by diverting all oil tankers to the middle of the ocean (but how does that stop the rigs from pumping?),

So...is this thread actually about the Cowboy Bebop Remix DVDs, or is it about some nutjob and his hurricane theories? Because the latter's pretty much completely off-topic for ANN.
