Anyone else see a flaw with promoting recycling with a limited edition item that becomes more collectable as more people actually follow through with recycling it?

Yes and no. While people are certainly going to want to keep the bottles, you're redeeming them for another collectible which is a pretty clever thing to do. Someone that wants to invest a little into this would buy two bottles, redeem one, and sell/auction both the remaining bottle and the "50 horsepower" of "Atom Currency" as a set.

Quite bizarre. First one learns of regions in which 'cider' denotes a beverage containing no alcohol, now one is informed of a region in which it contains no apples!
