Since the manga is coming out soon I would like to know how it compares to the anime. I enjoy the anime but it would be cheaper to only collect the manga.

Well, I'm not up to date on the anime (I'm assuming they aren't leaving out anything big), but in my opinion the manga is better simply because of how good a storyteller Naoki Urasawa is. The source matterial is almost always stronger, especially when the writer is as good as he is in this case.

Most anime counterparts of manga series just aren't as good as the original source but I must say the Monster anime has been handled pretty well.

That's cool, when does the manga release and what company is releasing it?

Use the Enclopedia on the left side. It's very helpful.
As you can see, it's license by Viz and the release date is Oct. 4 (as listed on TRSI).
Give a poor man some fish and he won't starve for the day.
Teach him how to fish and he won't starve forever.

I believe the "fish stuff" is his signature...either that, or he's talking about how he could either answer your question and solve this question, or give you the encylcopedia of release dates and solve all further questions of this nature. Either way, he's not making fun of you--that much is painfully obvious.

That's basically it, yeah. As far as I know, ANN still has signatures disabled.

Bad news, the new Amazon listing has Monster releasing on Dec. 13, now. This may or may not be true but I wouldn't be suprised if it was.
