I just bought BLEACH today, an it was fantastic. But there was something that confused me.
In the back of the book, (reading right to left) there is a Character Bio for Ichigo. It says that his "Theme song" is "News from the front" by Bad Religion.
This cought my atention because Bad Religion happens to be one of my favorite punk bands. Well, it said that the song, "News from the front", was recorded on the "Stranger Than Fiction" CD. But it isnt there. Hell, it isn't even a BR song.
Does anyone know whether this is typo, or BR did write the song and it was only one a Japanese release of the cd?

Nice to see fans of punk rock out there. Bad Religion is also one of my all time favorite bands, No Control is such a great cd. Well... i think that the author kind of screwed up. I believe that New From the Front is on an international release of No Substance (B-Sides) that was never released in the US or was a limited edition cd.. something to that extent. I didn't do any research on this but I remember looking it up when volume 1 was first released but the conclusion seems pretty familiar. I know for a fact that New From the Front has been recently released on some compilation cd, but I can't quite remember which.

Well it is very common for bands to release special edition CDs with bonus tracks available only in Japan, the only example I have though is my fav band Kamelot, but I would really like to know all the details as Bad Religion is my fav PUNK band, right next to the early Offs

Yeah, I noticed the same thing right off, since Stranger than Fiction is probably my favorite Bad Religion album.
Ichigo strikes me more as a "Hooray for Me" kinda guy<G>

Thats what I was thinking. I should probably check out Epitaph's Web page.
Oh, and Justinsane, #2 is so much better, Instramentalist and Vocalist. And 80-85 is alot better than No control. Its all good though,
Alittle of topic: did any of you get a chance to go to this years warped tour? I got to see Dropkick Murphys and The offspring. The pits were fun as all hell. (as if hell is fun haha )

Yeah, I know. I don't really like JustinSane, I just think his name is cool. #2's band Whatever It Takes were really good before they broke up. As for 80-85, a friend of mine was supposed to burn it for me but he burned the newest one instead, I'll check it out though. Although Bad Reliigon is a good punk band, my favorite punk bands at this time has are The Clash and Against Me!.

On page 112 of volume 7, a couple of Ichigo's classmates are discussing "Coldplay's new one."

Whatever It Takes, was an awesome band. haven't heard too much of against me though. The code is really good too.
As for my situation, the original problem, I think that it was, infact, a bonus trak of "stranger than fiction." But it's not on my cd.

I can't wait to see Dropkick Murpheys. I'm underage, but look forward to getting drunk off my ass while listening to them at some time during the warped tour. I'm following the tour for two weeks straight starting August 4th *helping out the band Bleed the Dream*, and going all the way to the final show.
As to the subject, I adore Kubotite. When bleach was only avalible via scanlations, I saw through the character lists songs I've always loved, and discovered new artist I never heard of. I was most happy to see some Social Distortion and Radiohead on the list. I have to give a big thankyou to Kubotite for introducing me to Ashley McIssacs via Rukia's song. Hearing that song convinced me to try out the cd, and after I got that cd, I bought all of them by the guy.
So glad now to finally have a new Bad Religion cd btw.
As for the News From The Front song, like stated before, it is a Bad Religion song, and was an unreleased in the US song. It was a single in the UK, and is on the UK version of the cd, and because of that, most likely on the Japanese release too. I couldn't find a Japanese track listing of it, but I'm asuming so because that's been my experience with overseas music releases. Example: My Chemical Romance added a track, Bury Me In Black, to the Japanese release of their new cd, and the song was released as a single in the UK, but it's no where to be found in the US.

As for this years warped tour, I argee with most of the people on punknews.org. This years warped tour is the worst it has been in years judging only by the shows that are taking place in New Jersey. I wanted to go last year to see Bad Religion and Anti-Fla g but plans came up and I missed it.

yeah, I'm going to the Detroit date of Warped the day after tomorrow, it should be fun.
but I realized that there are only 3 actual punk bands on the Detroit show that I know of, and punk is dying out more than ever right now, which is really sad.
I love it when theres an actual punk rock band that plays a local show here, because the Toledo scene is hoplessly devoid of any punk
perfectsword - I love you! The Code is one of my favourite bands!

Punk is dying because people consider some music to be punk which is definitely not punk. In my opinion bands like My Chemical Romance, Hawthorn Heights, Good Charlotte, and Taking Back Sunday are not punk and should drop dead. As for The Code, "Alert, Aware, Involved" is a freakin awesome song. I hate to say it but Green Day are now killing the scene, they used to be so great 10 years ago but American Idiot just makes me angry... they're just regergitating the same things other punk bands have done years before and claiming to be political "punk" god.

Actually, the European and Australian Markets also are privy to bonus stuff that the US Labels either don't want to release or are too cheap to put out.
Usually this includes remixes of some of the artists top songs, video files, special downloads, links to websites, exclusive pictures, etc.
Here's an example. The top is the US release, the bottom is the Australian release.
