i guess it was to much to hope it be longer than 26 episodes so'd they maybe add in things that got cut from the original

Humm the original show was 3 seasons and 6 movies (well 4 since the 1st was a compilation and the 2nd was a different take on season 2).
I hope that Isao Sasaki will at least sing one of the songs for the show. That kid who singed it in the Resurrection Movie ruined the mode for me

The first season of classic Yamato was also 26 episodes, I believe. This should be fine.

I'm okay with 26 episodes. Better than 11 or 13.

The only thing that felt rushed to me was spoiler[Desler reappearing out of nowhere in the last episode just to provide some last-minute tension.] It was so unnecessary, they even left it out of the movie compilation. |

The singer of the new Yamato theme will be: Tsuyoshi Matsubara. He mentioned that during the the Anisong Kohaku 2011 (which was on December 31). My friend, who attended the concert was kind to share the info.
