The content are available for purchase in the Nook Store today for US$4.99 to US$9.99.

So, on some titles, i'm just better off getting the dead tree version?

No, unless you're buying used or super-discounted books. In the online store, you can see that most books are $4.99, or $5.99 (for SigIkki books). The only book priced higher than that, for now, is Solanin at $8.99, which is a 400+ page omnibus release. So prices are about half of the retail price of paper books.

You can view all this manga online at vizmanga.com.

If you buy it at that website, you can view it on your computer, iPod, iPad, etc.

Aw I was hoping to have something for the Kindle. It's not that great of a manga reader, but I don't have a Nook and I'd like to be able to view the books w/out having to be online (which is the biggest disappointment for me with the Viz manga app).

Yes, but Sunday never said anything about paying retail, just buying that way. Once price is made equivalent, the only differences for comparison are strictly format based: space, quality, and future availability/reliability. I likewise, will stick to my tree slaughtering ways for the foreseeable future.

Manga is one of the main reasons I bought a nookcolor, so I'm excited to hear this. I still haven't gotten the update that enables comics/manga, so I don't know what it's really like, but I hope they look better than they did before. So far, all of the other manga series are from Yen Press, so it's nice to see some more variety (although Yen has almost all of my favorite, so I'd be fine with them being the main e-manga providers).

Yes, they do look a lot better than before. The images are bigger and clearer and you don't have to enlarge them to be able to read them.

Viz and Yen Press, this is the right direction to go in.
